Lincoln Day Dinners commemorate the life and legacy of President Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President of the United States, a man whose profound faith in God, strong leadership during the Civil War, respect for the common man and brilliant oratory skills provide us with much upon which to reflect. 

No other political party can lay claim to what Lincoln accomplished during his term as the 16th President of the United States.  He led the nation through our darkest period, the Civil War, abolished slavery and united a divided nation. 

Our Lincoln Day Dinner celebrations should serve to remind us of the proud heritage of the Republican Party and for what the Republican Party stands:
